THE COVER CHOICE FOR HOKEY POKEY

A few weeks ago, I gave you three choices for the cover of my next book, "Hokey Pokey: Curious People Finding What Life Is All About." Well, I think we've come up with what is close to the final cover. It's not perfect yet; we still have a little photoshopping here and there, but it's close enough to let you guys see it. We did a variation on the design of the #3 choice. And yes, those are my legs hanging out of that shrub. Believe me, I still have the scratch and sore ribs to prove it.

And please, if you want, tell me your thoughts.

Hope you are well.

WHO WANTS TO WIN AMY GRANT'S BOOK?

Leave a comment, an insult, or just your bloody name... and you might win Amy Grant's "Mosaic"!

TODAY IS MY THIRD ANNIVERSARY

Three years ago today, I married my lovely wife Jessica Nicole; we became partners for life. Since the first day of our marriage, our goal as husband and wife has been to serve each other and together, serve the people around us. Some days we've been really good at that; other times we've struggled to be humble enough to serve. But these three years have been beautiful--the ups, the downs, the times we've been broke, the times we've had more than enough--I think we've both learned so much in these first three years. May God continue to bless the love that Jessica and I share.

Happy Anniversary to my baby and me!

Oh, and we're going to see My Fair Lady tonight. And then Annie Lennox on Sunday. It's gonna be a fun week...

AMY GRANT'S 'MOSAIC'

Buy the book here.

It’s no secret that I am a fan of Amy Grant. It’s been that way for quite some time. To be honest, I almost got kicked out of college because of Amy (I talked to her at a music business event and music business students weren't allowed to talk to artists—but I did it anyway). OK, so yeah, I’m willing to risk my education for Amy Grant.

Well, she released her first book this week—a collection of stories and essays called Mosaic. I got a pre-release of it earlier this month. It’s good. Her voice really shines through. That’s what I love the most about this title. If you’re a fan of Amy, it will feel like she’s talking to you. I kind of like books like that, where you can hear the person talking.

The book has one flaw: I could have done without the song lyrics and the poems. Any true fan has Amy’s lyrics memorized, and the poetry just isn’t that good.

But the stories are worth it. The stories she share are fantastic. You will love Amy even more after reading Mosaic.

Buy the book here.

Okay. Question.

So, Steven Curtis Chapman, what the heck is this cover supposed to be?

Did one of your children design it?
